Bad beat
I took a ridiculous bad beat yesterday when I woke up and found that my $3,000, less than one year old computer decided to crash on me. Normally I am very tech savvy and can fix about any software problems that may arise but the problem this time seemed to be in the hardware, particularly in the hard-drive. That is kind of unfixable so I stopped for a moment, prayed briefly thanking God that I decided to get the 3 year warranty on it, and ran it into the "Geek Squad" at Best Buy. The guy seemed to think that it was the hard drive as well and said he would do the diagnostics tests and if necessary replace one of the hard drives. Yes my bad boy has dual hard drives and only the NERDIEST of computer geeks would brag about it or even point it out.
So 2 hours into the day and my whole day is shot. Seriously, without a computer I feel naked, I have no idea what to do. I really spend an average of 4-7 hours a day on-line I would guess and to not have internet access makes me feel like Coronal Sanders without a deep fat friar. Oh well, hopefully I will hear from them today.
I did get a chance to hop on my roommates computer for about 2 hours and log some much needed poker time. I played on Full Tilt for about 90 minutes and ran STUPIDLY good at one 15/30 for a $1,300 rush. I knew it was gonna be good when my first two hands were QQ and AA. I really want to start trying to qualify for the Main Event on Full Tilt right now but it's really hard to commandeer someone's computer for 6 hours while I play a multi. I'll get around to it.
In other news I put some cash in my safety deposit box today only to find that my passport was not in there. That means that I never returned it after Vienna and it lies somewhere in my room. I have 5 days before Barcelona to find it, wish me luck...

So, you think you're good at fixing computers, eh?
Remember that time you obliterated my $300 desktop that all I ever used it for was Word for school and played songs off My Kazaa for entertainment?
Thanks for "fixing" it, Dave. I really appreciate it.
