Tahoe Main Event

Shannon and Nate just started playing the $10,000 wsop circuit Main Event at noon today. I went down and checked on them and they are both at tables with some big names pros. Nate is at a table with Andy Bloch and Shannon is at a table with Daniel Negreanu. When I was down there I saw Shannon take about a 6,000 chip pot down with K7 on a KK336 board when he raised his opponent on the river. His opponent mucked his hand after calling so I have no idea what he had. I walked around and saw Dean from Michigan playing at a table with Gavin Smith. Dean got 3rd to me in the Pot Limit event and then also got 3rd yesterday in the $1,500 NL event. He asked me if I was playing and I said I wasn't because I didn't win a satelite. He said he wished he would have known because he needed a horse. (Horse: a player staked by another player in a tournament) Bad beat for me I guess, I would have loved to play the event.

I'm gonna go down to the beach and hang out for a while I think, then I'll come back and update on Shannon and Nate a little later.
